CONTEND, O GOD (PSALM 35)

Contend, O  God, with those who oppose me.
-3 4   5  -4   4   -3 -3”
Arise and vanquish my foe!
 2   -3”  -3”   -3    -3  4   -3 -3” -3 3
Let loose Your spears against my pursuers,
-3 4   5  -4 4 -3 -3”
Salvation of   my soul! 
4 -4  5     6   -4    5
O    Lord, may those who 
 -5  5  -4  5   4
Seek to destroy me—
 -3   -3”   4    -3 -3”  3 -3”
Lord, turn them back in dismay.
 2    -3”  -3”  -3  -3  4 -3 -3” -3” -3
Like chaff may they be scattered before 
 3   -3  4   5  -4 4   -3 -3”
You, and by You driven away. 
Verse 2:
Then will my soul rejoice in You, 
Lord God,
Then will my being proclaim:
"Who could be like You, 
Lord and my Savior!"
My tongue shall praise Your name! 
Arise, O God, and be my defender:
Be with me in this place.
May those who gloat and seek my 
Destruction be clothed with shame
And disgrace.
